8:00 AM START The cloud cover held, and the shadows from the surrounding hills still covered the official start for the second wave of starters. Lots of media coverage this year, with a cacaphony of clicking as the runners made their way up from the lowest spot in the western hemisphere to their ultimate goal! Temperature was holding in the mid-100's for the second wave, with winds picking up a little bit near the turn down toward Furnace Creek. |
