0800, July 27, the Second Wave begins...

The race got underway on time with 22 runners. Temperature was 95 degrees. The group started in the shade. Standard group photos were taken in front of the Badwater sign and then again at the starting line. D. Mraulje, K. Sakurai, and T. Poupard were leading the pack.
